Ilir Beqaj again requests change in security measure, offers financial guarantees

Former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, has appealed to the Supreme Court, requesting a change in the security measure of "prison arrest".

The request was filed with the Court today and aims to replace the current measure with a lighter security measure.

In the appeal filed, Beqaj also offered a financial guarantee, arguing that it is sufficient to ensure compliance with all obligations arising from the criminal process.

It is now up to the Supreme Court to review the request and decide whether to leave the prison arrest measure in effect or accept its change to another security measure.
