Applications open for the 2026 National Scheme

Applications for the National Agriculture Scheme 2026 opened this Monday. Prime Minister Edi Rama has published a video message on social media, along with support measures for farmers.

These are 9 direct support measures and 3 investment measures for farmers and agribusiness, including:


• the registered basic herd of cattle;

• the basic matriculated batch of small items

• beekeeping

• the registered basic herd of sows and/or gilts

• biological pest control in greenhouses and plastic tunnels

• organic farms

• Global GAP implementation and certification

• support for planted areas

• restocking of fisheries in inland waters

Meanwhile, investment measures focus on:

• support for young farmers

• construction and reconstruction of stables

• equipment, machinery and tools for the mechanization and modernization of work processes

The government has allocated a budget of 5.2 million lek for this initiative.

"We will support all applications or projects, which are investments in greenhouses, fruit trees, vineyards, stables, agricultural mechanics, agritourism... We will open new calls for investments, for young farmers who will be supported with a 10 million lek or 10 thousand euro grant, mainly in livestock.

For the construction of stables for livestock farmers with a grant of around 3 million lek, for agricultural equipment and machinery with a grant of 500 thousand lek, which includes tankers for storing milk and olive oil. Priority will be given to livestock, where for cattle from 10 thousand lek to 12 thousand lek, for small animals from 1200 lek to 1500 lek, where it doubles for bees from 1 thousand lek to 2 thousand lek, which is one of the supports we have given to beekeeping. Meanwhile, the diesel scheme will be abolished. Farmers will no longer benefit from diesel at a reduced price, as the Ministry of Agriculture assessed that this scheme has not fully functioned, and there have been abuses.

The application can be completed online through the e-Albania platform.
