374 billion lek by November/ Despite the restrictions of the Bank of Albania,

Albanian citizens and entrepreneurs received over 32 billion euros in November. Data from the Bank of Albania shows that since the beginning of the year, new loans received have reached over 374 billion lek.

Compared to January-November last year, loans have expanded by 42.5 billion lek or 12.8 percent.

Artur Ribaj, lecturer and expert on the banking system, said: " This increase shows greater trust of citizens and businesses in the banking system, but also an increased need for financing in a period of low inflation and more stable interest rates," reports "A2CNN".

At an even faster pace than citizens, entrepreneurs received over 250 billion lek in loans in 11 months to open new businesses or expand existing ones. The rest of the loans went to citizens and public institutions.

Artur Ribaj emphasized: "All this comes after the banking sector is considering lending for new apartments safe. Also, the fact that the banking system has sufficient liquidity today has also influenced it ."

Data from the Central Bank show that for the purchase of housing, in the 11-month period from January to November, citizens took out over 60 billion lek loans from banks: "It is an increase that also comes as a reflection of urbanization and internal migration. The increase in construction has generated high demand for housing loans, especially in large cities."

The expansion of lending is happening at a time when the Bank of Albania has restricted the granting of loans for the purchase of housing since July.
