Israeli strikes kill 9 people in Gaza, wound 15 others

Israel has broken the ceasefire and launched air and tank attacks on Gaza. Hospital sources told Al Jazeera that at least nine Palestinians have been killed and 15 wounded so far.

Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of seeking excuses to withdraw from Israel's obligations under the US-brokered agreement.

Under the terms of the ceasefire, Hamas released all live hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian wartime prisoners and detainees, while Israel withdrew its troops and halted its offensive. Israel continues to allow only a small amount of much-needed aid into war-torn Gaza.
