A serious incident has shaken public opinion in Italy and beyond, after a brother stabbed his 22-year-old sister to death.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in the Ponticelli neighborhood of Naples, where Ylenia Musella was stabbed to death after a fight with her brother.
According to reports, the cause of the argument was loud music, which had disturbed Giuseppe Musella, who wanted to sleep. Tensions between them escalated, and the brother stabbed his sister, causing a fatal wound to her back. Ylenia died a few minutes after arriving at the Villa Betania hospital.
In a video posted on Ylenia's TikTok account, the 22-year-old is seen dancing to the rhythm of the music, but at the end of the video, a person comes down the stairs while holding something in his hand, which looks like a knife.
The video was posted a day before the young woman's murder, with media outlets suspecting that her brother appears in the video, raising allegations that this was not the first time he had threatened her.
In his testimony before the authorities, the 22-year-old's brother Giuseppe Musella admitted to the crime and explained his motive for the violence. According to him, the argument was over the music being too loud and, since he couldn't sleep, he broke out in violence, stabbing his sister.
Giuseppe Musella, the 28-year-old arrested by the Naples Prosecutor's Office for the murder of his sister, Ylenia Musella, 22, has surrendered to the police and confessed that he is behind the tragic crime.
