As the new school year begins today, the Democratic Party has accused the government of emptying pre-university education institutions.
According to the DP, around 900 schools across the country have been closed due to a lack of students.
The head of the education department in the DP, Lili Sula, through a statement from the blue headquarters, said that empty benches and closed classrooms are the clearest reflection of the abandonment of the country, silent cries of appeal from children who have left.
Sula also said that while schools are closing down, in the Astir neighborhood of Tirana, there is no educational institution.
"After 12 years of the Renaissance, we can no longer talk about a lack of attention but about state awareness of abandoning children, knowledge, the future of the nation - which, unfortunately for us, is no longer in crisis, but towards disintegration," said Sula.
Meanwhile, Sula also emphasized that teachers across the country are insecure about their jobs due to the lack of students.

The first day of school shows us best that the Renaissance has diligently built facades of education, but has structurally destroyed it every day, but today even the facade can no longer hide the crisis.
Today, our schools are no longer temples of knowledge, but open wounds of the nation resulting from depopulation.
Empty benches and closed classrooms are the clearest reflection of the abandonment of the country, silent cries of appeal from children who have left.
International data shows that 10% of Albanians intend to leave within a year, because they have no chance of surviving here: thousands fewer students than last year are attending preschool education, thousands fewer are enrolled in first grade, and thousands fewer are attending compulsory and secondary school.
In the education-loving Korça region alone, there are about 4,000 fewer students: 22 schools have been closed, dozens of first grades without any registration because the little ones have taken the path of emigration with their parents. Meanwhile, the city's three schools, once local and national pride, are now at risk of becoming subordinate schools due to the drastic decrease in the number of students.
All the districts are in the same situation.
Rreth 900 shkolla në mbarë vendin nuk janë më shkolla, por fantazma, dëshmi të heshtura të një kombi që po zbehet. Ndër to, disa shkolla të reja, me kosto marramendëse ndërtimi i kanë dhëna klasat për shërbime postare, shëndetësore etj. Ndërsa shkollat shuhen, në Astir, zonë me përqendrim të lartë të popullsisë prej 70 000 banorë ende nuk ka një institucion të arsimit publik.
• Viti që po nis sot mbart sezonat e vitit të kaluar shkollor. Klima e dhunës dhe bullizimit regjistroi një zinxhir gjëmash në Gjirokastër, Fier, Mat etj. Vrasja me thikë nga bashkëmoshatari e 15 vjeçarit Martin Cani në dyert e shkollës në mes të Tiranës, është ende e pashlyeshme.
• Rritja e konfliktualitetit, veçimi, dhuna, bullizimi janë ankth për prindërit, një pjesë e të cilëve vetëm për çështje të sigurisë po i kalojnë fëmijët në shkolla jo publike.
• Sipas treguesve ndërkombëtarë gati gjysma e popullsisë mbi 15 vjeç nuk është në gjendje të lexojë dhe të shkruajë një deklarate të thjeshtë dhe ta kuptojë atë, as të bëjnë llogari të thjeshtë në aritmetikë.
• Partia-shtet e ka braktisur arsimin prej vitesh – Jemi në fund të botës për arritje arsimore. UNESCO ka kërkuar në mënyrë urgjente rritjen e financimit dhe shpërndarjen efikase të burimeve, por qeveria as e ka marrë parasysh alarmin e kuq.
Rreth 16 mijë nxënës në shkollat profesionale
• Testet e maturës shtetërore, dolën të gjitha publikisht në minutat e para të provimit, ndërsa ministria shprehej me krenari se dalja e testeve nuk e cenon procesin.
• Familjet duhet të marrin borxhe për të përgatitur fëmijët për shkollë – vetëm tekstet e lëndëve të klasës 10 kushtojnë rreth 15 000 lekë.
• Viti shkollor që sapo ka nisur i gjen mësuesit me pagën më të ulët krahasuar me mësuesit e vendeve të rajonit, ndërsa janë nën presionin konstant politik.
• 33 % e mësuesve u diskriminuan nga paga e grupit dhe ende se kanë gjetur të drejtën se shteti të merr peng të drejtën që mësuesit kanë gëzuar me dhjetëra vite.
• Mësuesit jo vetëm në zonat rurale dhe malore, por edhe në Tiranë janë të pasigurt për vendin e punës prej rënies së numrit të nxënësve, një pjesë kanë kaluar në rolin e mësuesit ndihmës, shumica presin me shqetësim nëse do të plotësohen me ngarkesën mësimore, ndërsa shumë të tjerë janë larguar në emigrim.
• Portali për mësues nuk është i Shqipërisë, por i partisë sepse fitimi i vendit të punës është ekskluzivisht pronë e partisë shtet.
-Për skemën e mashtrimit ‘Klea Rama’, ku qindra maturantë u mashtruan se do të studionin në universitete në ShBA, një i ri anonim vuan dënimin për shkeljen e ligjit, ndërsa asnjë drejtuesi nuk i hyri gjembi në këmbë, madje zonja Klotilda Jaupi e lidhur drejtpërdrejt me skemën e mashtrimit vijon të drejtojë një prej shkollave të mesme më të mirë të vendit, gjimnazin ‘Qemal Stafa’.
