Flames in newly occupied building at the "Kadiu" complex, residents panic and leave their apartments
Fire and panic this evening in the "Kadiu" complex in the Ali Demi area of Tirana. The flames have engulfed one of the newly built buildings by the Berisha family's partner, Fatmir Bektashi, while the thick smoke forced dozens of residents to urgently evacuate their apartments.
According to witnesses at the scene, the fire is suspected to have started in the electrical switchboard. The building's alarm was activated, the power was cut off, and entire families, including children, ran out of the building in fear.

But what made the situation even more dramatic was the lack of access for emergency vehicles. Residents report that the road in front of the building has been blocked, making it difficult for firefighters and ambulances to enter at critical moments.
Citizens complain that the roads inside the complex are beyond any standard and make it almost impossible for firefighters or ambulances to intervene in emergencies.
The complex is not yet fully completed, while the buildings have only been inhabited for a few months. Residents say they are living between the construction site and the lack of basic safety standards. The scandal is how can the electrical network burn in a newly built building?
The buildings belong to the "Kontakt" company of businessman Fatmir Bektashi, who, although under investigation with two files at SPAK, continues to obtain building permits and expand projects in the capital.
Fortunately, the flames were neutralized without fatal consequences, but residents warn that such a situation could end in tragedy if urgent measures are not taken.
