The Special Appeals Court has postponed the scheduled hearing against former President Ilir Meta, who had requested a change in the security measure.
The postponement was due to the absence of the parties in the process, as well as the absence of the judge in the case, who is on leave, while the next session was scheduled for December 15th.
We recall that a few days ago, on November 27, the Supreme Court rejected the request of the leader of the Freedom Party for his release.
Ilir Meta is accused of corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets. He was arrested by order of SPAK on October 24, 2024.
SPAK closed the investigations on July 28, while the file was sent for trial at the end of August, which included three investigations into a CEZ-DIA affair, LSI lobbying in the US, and an asset investigation. Meta and Kryemadhi are accused of passive corruption, money laundering, and failure to declare assets.
