Edi Rama seems to have decided to purge the Ministry of Defense of Pirro Vengu's loyalists. The latter introduced his entire clan into the ministry after being appointed to Defense, but it seems that the prime minister has started the "broom".
At today's government meeting, Andrea Shllaku, the son of Pirro Vengu's aunt, was removed from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense. Pranvera Skana was appointed in his place.
Shllaku has held positions wherever Pirro Vengu has served. He served for 3 years as Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer at the Durres Port Authority and then for two years as Director of the Operational Division, overseeing port operations. At that time, Vengu was the port director.
When the latter became minister, Shllaku was appointed External Advisor for Port Infrastructures at the Ministry of Defense. In December, he became deputy minister.
When they were at the Port of Durres, "Pamfleti" denounced that these aunts were managers of the state-owned company "Albanian Seaports Development Company", which owns the tower complex that Alabbar will build in Durres.
