Novak Djokovic has "raised the white flag" and withdrawn from Roland Garros due to a knee injury, simultaneously surrendering the first place in the ATP rankings.
Tournament organizers confirmed the decision of Djokovic, who has torn the meniscus in his right knee and cannot compete against Kasper Rud in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, paving the way for his rival to go into the four with a calm and relaxed attitude.
