Former UEFA president Michel Platini attacked Manchester City and PSG, while criticizing the big money that controls football.
Clubs owned by Abu Dhabi and Qatar have risen to the top of world football in recent years, winning both the Champions Leagues in the last three years thanks to their excessive spending.
Former France star Platini believes the "philosophy of football" has disappeared due to the huge amounts of money such big teams are spending to remain competitive.
Platini cited the Bosman ruling, a 1995 case that resulted in players being allowed to leave clubs for free at the end of their contracts, as the beginning of the end of football.
He told La Stampa: " I always saw the player and the game, I was never interested in anything else. The Bosman law, however, killed the philosophy of football: today to win you have to have money, just look at how the stories of City and PSG have changed ."
