Lindon Selahi is no longer part of Rijeka. Today, the midfielder of the Albanian national team said goodbye to the team after 4 years of adventure and wonderful performances.
The 24-year-old announced the news of his departure from Rijeka in a post on social media. Selah did not spare any thanks, starting with the entire staff and the president of the Croatian club.
Lindon Selah's post:
After four unforgettable seasons and 153 matches in the blue and white jersey, the time has come to say a difficult goodbye to HNK Rijeka.
We shared so many special moments and I will always be proud to have worn this shirt. Last season's historic double, winning both the league and the cup, is something I will carry with me forever, as it was my objective when I signed here.
I was hoping to leave the club in a different way. My wish was to continue making history with Rijeka, but a footballer's life can change quickly and doesn't always follow the path we imagine.
As you all know, I have always given everything I had every time I stepped onto the pitch and played with all my heart for the club I love. I want to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, everyone who works behind the scenes, Miske and Arso, the president and especially Armada. Your energy and passion mean a lot to me.
Rijeka is more than just a club for me. It has become part of my history, part of who I am. No matter where life takes me next, Rijeka will always have a very special place in my heart.
See you soon. With respect and gratitude, Lindon!
