Actress Megan Fox recently attended a special screening of the film “Jennifer's Body” and on that occasion she recalled the negative sides of fame that she faced at the height of her popularity. As Fox claims, the period after her role in the 2007 film “Transformers” was really difficult for her. She recalled being lost and angry at the same time, and these feelings followed the treatment of the paparazzi towards her.
I think at that point in my life I was really angry about the way I was being treated in the film industry. It was hard to deal with fame at that time, even before we started filming.
She also recalled an anecdote from the premiere of the film "Jennifer's Body" in 2009.
Then I left the premiere for another event I had to go to, and I remember the paparazzi were really relentless. I went outside to try to get to my car, and then one of them said, 'Megan, do you think you're overrated?' I was just trying to do my job.
The actress continues to emphasize that during that period of her career she struggled with herself and that she believes she was traumatized by fame.
I think I was 19 when I made my first big film and I felt like it reflected all the energies that existed inside me. There was something fun about tapping into that darker feminine energy that no one will let in. It was healing for me.
