Shkruar nga PamfletiActress Olta Gixhari, in a podcast she made with journalist Mira Kazhani, shared her experience of motherhood, and how it made her to be a person with 'feet on the ground', despite all the sacrifices she had to make to do.
Olta says that the period when she left everything in Albania to go and live in Spain, near her partner, where she then gave birth to her eldest son Amari, was quite difficult.
According to her, it was not easy for her to be a full-time midwife with a baby who cried all day long.
"I saw myself as a mother, always, because I knew inside myself how I was. No one believed me that I would become a mother, they told me vulgarly. Are you going to be a mom? Not ever. I laughed too, ok, but it was killing me inside. Motherhood is the only thing that keeps me from flying.
I gave up everything, I gave up the theater, I gave up my businesses. I went to live in Spain, after a while I was a mother with a baby who cried 24 hours a day, I was escalating, I'm sorry but it was a very difficult period.
