After eight years of legal battles, Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a final agreement on their divorce, Jolie's lawyer announced to the media. However, Pitt's attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to reports from The Associated Press.
The couple, who married in 2014, have six children together. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. After announcing their divorce, they became embroiled in a bitter legal battle over child custody. In 2021, a judge awarded joint custody to the parents.
Jolie and Pitt, known to fans as "Brangelina", met for the first time during the filming of the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. It was Brad Pitt's second marriage – he was previously married to Jennifer Aniston – while for Jolie, it was her third after actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
