"The revolution will not come with a pitchfork, but with a vote",
Head of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi

The head of the LZHK, Dashamir Shehi, commented on the civic protests that are entering their 25th day today, emphasizing that political change will come through voting and civic participation, not through violence.

Invited to the "Puls" show on A2 CNN, Shehi said that the example of European countries, such as Hungary, shows that regimes can be changed democratically, without the need for violent revolutions.

"There is no revolution here, neither with a bayonet nor a pitchfork, the revolution will be made with a vote, as happened in Hungary, where they removed an autocrat who had been in power for 16 years. The people removed him with a vote. There was no need for revolutions there. This is the revolution for me and we must do this work," said Shehi.

The Shehi invited the citizens of Tirana to close their shops for an hour, not to be afraid, as this will achieve something great on the path they have embarked on.

"I would invite the citizens of Tirana, close the shop for an hour because it's not done, because they haven't sold 5 beers and two shoes, you have chosen a path to do something big, to really change something, don't drag on for 30 or so years. It doesn't ruin any of their work. They don't have to be afraid anymore. There's no need to stay by the water, or by the Molotov cocktail, just take your wife by the arm and go out there under the house. That's it. To show that we are no longer with you. They are not governing us, they are ruling us", declared the head of the LZHK.
