Prime Minister Edi Rama will gather political leaders at the headquarters of the Socialist Party.
The meeting will start at 8:30. It is learned that the SP may have another session this afternoon, at 3:00 PM.
The plans are to pass the agreement with the US in the field of defense to the committee today and then pass it to Parliament in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, another protest has been called today in front of Parliament at 8:30 am before MPs enter the Assembly hall.
According to the organizers, the protest aims to raise its voice against an institution that, as they claim, has become disconnected from the concerns and interests of citizens.
Meanwhile, security measures are expected to be increased. The area around Parliament is expected to be surrounded by numerous police forces, in order to guarantee order and security during the protest.
The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group will also hold a meeting at the blue headquarters to decide the position it will take in the plenary session.
Officially, the agenda includes the approval of the minutes of the previous session, announcements, and the draft decision to amend decision no. 87/2026, which relates to the appointment of substitute members to the composition of the standing parliamentary committees.
However, it remains to be seen whether the agreement between Albania and the United States of America in the field of defense will be submitted for approval during the session, an issue that is expected to be the main reason for the meeting of the DP Parliamentary Group before the start of the session.
