"The party and the state are one", Berisha continues the accusations

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has continued his accusations against Foreign Minister Igli Hasani, whom he says has pressured international observers to change their report regarding the May 11 elections.

While Berisha considers the process an electoral farce, he emphasizes that the letter that Hasani sent to the internationals who monitored May 11 is clear proof that the state and the party are one in Albania.

"The narco-Foreign Minister reacted yesterday in the most irresponsible way, proving irrefutably that he, just like Altin Troplini, is a soldier of Edi Rama, an advocate of the electoral farce of May 11, 2025.

For every Albanian citizen, I pose the question: could the country's Foreign Minister send a letter to international observation missions just an hour after the publication of their report?

The opposition could send a letter to those missions, but never and at no time could the Foreign Minister side with the Socialist Party except by proving what the observation missions have written, that in Albania the party and the state were one and therefore there could be no elections but only a farce.

So, the minister's letter and his reaction prove once again that Albanians were faced with an electoral farce.

"The minister himself, along with Dumani, is an advocate for this ugly crime," Berisha said.
