Democratic MP Agron Gjekmarkaj declared that the Democratic Party did not lose the May 11 elections, but that they were rigged by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
To reinforce his position, he also made a comparison with the university grading system, referring to his duty as a lecturer.
"I know what I'm saying will seem pathetic, but the Democratic Party has done Albania the greatest service by still leaving it with a real opposition, because we were on the verge of extinction, real. Now the opposition is standing, even though we came out of an electoral farce. Our people are rightfully disappointed and upset, after 12 years of support.
"The exams are rigged, that's the problem. I'm a university professor and if I do my best to lower a student's grade, or a student who is about to pass by cheating, I can do it. This happened in the elections ," Gjekmarkaj declared on "Off the Record" with Andrea Dangli, on A2 CNN.
