Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has officially started his campaign for the position of mayor of Tirana. Just one day after announcing his ambitions to run for mayor, Braçe has wasted no time in starting direct meetings with citizens.
This afternoon he organized a meeting with the socialists of the Lapraka area, where he was accompanied by former ministers Ulsi Manja and Ervin Hoxha. During the meeting, Braçe and the socialists discussed the concrete problems that residents face in their daily lives, focusing on the real concerns of the community.
Erion Braçe is known as one of the most critical voices within the Socialist Party. He is among the few MPs who has consistently used his social media platform to denounce abuses in Tirana, from illegal construction to lack of infrastructure, cleanliness, and other issues that affect the quality of life of citizens.
Braça's candidacy comes at a time when there has been talk within the Socialist Party about a possible race for the Municipality of Tirana, positioning him as an alternative figure with a critical profile towards the current management of the capital.
