The villa of former dictator Enver Hoxha has been transformed into an artistic residence, open to citizens and those who want to promote their art.
The residence will be called Vila 31 and Art Explora, the name of the foundation that is implementing the project.
The opening ceremony is attended by Prime Minister Rama, along with the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, and the French Ambassador Catherine Suard.
“ It is a great honor for me to be among you to inaugurate such an impressive project as “Villa 31”. Emblem of Albania’s transformation, this place enters a new life as a residence dedicated to cultural dialogue and artistic engagement. “Villa 31”, more than a simple workspace, is a vision of openness, an art without borders. It marks Tirana in the network of the main European platforms for the creation of contemporary art. “Villa 31” is part of the dynamic of cultural cooperation between France and Albania ”, said the ambassador.
