The Tirana Court has accepted the Prosecution's request and sentenced the perpetrators of the murder of Edmond Papa to a total of 55 years in prison.
The Black Squads sentenced Andrew Bode, the executioner of businessman Edmond Papa, to 30 years in prison after he was accused of the criminal offense of "premeditated murder" committed in collaboration, "unlicensed possession of weapons".
While 30-year-old Alban Velo was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the criminal offense of "premeditated murder" committed in collaboration. The two defendants will serve their sentences in a high-security prison due to the dangerousness they pose.
Edmond Papa was executed on December 16, 2022 in the Selita area of Tirana, on "Fadil Bodinaku" street.
The perpetrators shot the businessman 9 times and immediately left the scene, while Edmond Papa died on the way to the hospital.
Edmond Papa had a previous conviction in Greece for drug trafficking and had previously been charged in the UK. Edmond Papa's murder was revealed a few weeks after he was executed. The reason for his murder was revenge.
