Cocaine and ecstasy, drug network destroyed in Shëngjin; those arrested

Three people have been arrested by the Police in Lezha, while another has been declared wanted, as they are suspected of being part of a network that distributed narcotics in the tourist areas of Shëngjin.

The arrested, two from Kosovo and one from France, are accused of selling various types of drugs including cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy, MDMA and hallucinogenic mushrooms, in places frequented by holidaymakers.

Kosovo citizens Altin Gashi, 21 years old, Ermal Tahiri, 28 years old, both residents of Kosovo, and French citizen Salim Bouyaiche, 43 years old, resident of France, were arrested. Kosovo citizen Ardian Gashi, 30 years old, resident of Kosovo, was also declared wanted.

During the operation, several doses of narcotics, cannabis in chocolate form, a vehicle and three phones, which were suspected of being used to organize the activity, were seized. The control of the phones revealed communications that show how the network operates.

"The Lezha Police have successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Camouflage", striking an organized drug distribution network in the tourist areas of Shëngjin. As part of this operation, three foreign citizens have been arrested, while another has been declared wanted.

Meanwhile, citizen AG, 30 years old, from Kosovo, has been declared wanted.

The suspects were selling doses of drugs such as cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy, MDMA and hallucinogenic mushrooms in areas frequented by holidaymakers. During the arrest, the Police seized a significant amount of narcotics divided into doses, cannabis in chocolate form, a vehicle and three mobile phones that were suspected of being used for criminal activity.

From the examination of mobile phones, clear communications were discovered that confirm the organization of the sale of narcotics. Investigations continue to identify and capture other persons involved.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Lezha Court, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration , the police announced.
