In a statement on Truth Social, the US president said that Tehran agreed to high-level inspections, while the Strait of Hormuz will remain open to shipping...
US President Donald Trump said Iran had agreed to long-term, high-level nuclear inspections, adding that he would not allow negotiations to continue without such an agreement.
"Iran agreed fully and unconditionally to high-level inspections of nuclear facilities for a long period in the future (no deadline!!!). This will ensure 'nuclear honesty'. If they had not agreed to this, there would have been no further negotiations," he wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Trump also stated that an agreement was reached to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and avoid any further naval blockade, although he stressed that American ships would remain in their positions in case the blockade was reimposed.
He added that the funds and sanctions relief released by the US Treasury Department will be deposited in an escrow account (known internationally as an escrow account) under US control and will be used exclusively for the purchase of food and medical supplies from the United States, including corn, wheat and soybeans.
"The funds and/or sanctions relief released by the U.S. Treasury Department are deposited in an escrow account, under U.S. control, and will be used to purchase food and medical supplies, exclusively from the United States, including corn, wheat, and soybeans from our great American farmers," he stated.

US President Donald Trump also referred to the oil market, saying that 19 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, a record volume that, according to him, led to a drop in oil prices and made the world safer.
"19 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, a historic RECORD," Trump wrote on Truth Social, adding, "Oil prices are falling rapidly and the world is a much safer place!!!"
