
An Air China plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a fire caused by a lithium battery in a carry-on bag. The incident, which caused panic among passengers, occurred on a flight from Hangzhou airport to South Korea.
The video shows two flight attendants running around holding fire extinguishers, while others shout at passengers to stay in their seats.
A passenger on the flight told local media that he heard a loud explosion seconds before the fire broke out.
In a post on Weibo, Air China said that "a lithium battery in a passenger's carry-on bag stored in the overhead compartment of the aircraft suddenly caught fire."
Despite the panic caused by the smoke and the forced landing, no passengers were injured, the airline said.
