The worsening weather conditions predicted for the coming hours have also brought the reaction of the State Police, which has called on citizens to avoid any action that could jeopardize their safety.
Through an official announcement, the Police informs that, starting from noon on July 24 until the morning of July 25, small vessels and fishing vessels should not go out to sea outside the Gulf of Vlora and the Gulf of Saranda, as well as along the Dhërmi-Himarë-Saranda coastline, due to unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions.
Authorities are asking boaters to take the worsening weather into consideration and avoid any trips to sea that could endanger their lives and those of those on board.
The police also appeal for increased caution in road traffic. Drivers of vehicles and motorcycles are advised to respect speed limits, safety distances and avoid dangerous maneuvers, while pedestrians are advised to be careful while moving, especially in areas where precipitation and moisture are expected on the roads.

Based on forecasts for the deterioration of marine hydrometeorological and atmospheric conditions, the State Police announces that, starting from noon on 24.07.2026 until the morning of 25.07.2026, small vessels and fishing vessels intending to operate outside the Gulf of Vlora and the Gulf of Saranda, in the open sea and along the Dhërmi-Himarë-Saranda coastline, should avoid going to sea, due to unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions during this period.
The drivers of these vessels must exercise increased caution, take into account the worsening weather conditions and avoid any departures to sea that may endanger their safety and that of the persons on board.
Also, given the forecasts for worsening weather conditions tomorrow, the State Police appeals for increased caution from citizens and all drivers of vehicles and motorcycles, respecting road traffic rules, speed limits, safety distance and avoiding dangerous maneuvers.
Pedestrians are advised to show increased attention and caution while moving, especially in rainy or wet road conditions.
The State Police appeals to all users of small boats, fishing vessels and all road users to show maximum caution, not only during this period of time, but in the future, in order to increase life safety parameters.
