Protesters have begun marching towards the Prime Minister's Office, marking the 26th day of protest against political caste.
As every afternoon, citizens first gathered at Skanderbeg Square, then marched towards the government building. Participants carried banners and national flags, and throughout the route they articulated calls against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Among the slogans heard during the march were: "Edi Rama, you traitor, do not bargain with Albania," as well as "The end has come for you, down with the dictatorship ," continuously chanted by the participants as they moved towards the Prime Minister's Office.
Also, during their movement through the streets of the capital, they constantly chanted the slogan "Edi Rama, you bastard, wait for the people, they are coming."
The protest is being monitored by numerous State Police forces, which have been deployed along the route to guarantee the smooth running of the rally and manage road traffic.
This is the 26th day of the protest, and organizers have called for the rallies to continue until their demands are met. They have warned that the protests will continue in the coming days, describing them as a civic movement against government decisions.
An even bigger protest has been announced for Saturday, as well as on July 4, when the diaspora is expected to come.
