The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, speaking to the media after the election of the new head of SPAK, stated that they were present at the session to show support for the KLP.
He further emphasized that they requested that an individual with independence and integrity be appointed as the head of SPAK. Gonzato further congratulated Braho on the appointment and said that they expect cooperation.
"We have come here to show our support for the KLP, but also to show interest in the appointment procedure. SPAK has an essential role in the fight against crime and corruption."
It is one of the key requirements for the EU. Yesterday we said that what we are looking for is a chairman who will continue the work of SPAK, and what we were looking for was a candidate with levels of independence and integrity. I congratulate Mr. Braho and we look forward to cooperating with him in the future , "said Gonzato.
