A Russian influencer has been heavily criticized on social media after sharing a video with her followers in which she puts her young son inside a vacuum bag and uses a vacuum cleaner to extract the air.
Foreign media write that the video in question spread very quickly and shows the moment the terrified child calls out 'mom' as the bag constricts and air is sucked out.
According to the Russian portal "Life", the 36-year-old influencer Anna Saparina took the incident as a joke. Meanwhile, the Russian child protection authorities are expected to summon her for clarification, as the experiment may have seriously endangered the minor's life.
Reactions online have been fierce, with many users calling Saparina "irresponsible" and "unworthy of being a mother."
"Anna Saparina is a disgusting abuser who should end up in prison for terrifying her son over just a few clicks," someone wrote.
While another added: "This is terrible... Children should not be treated as experiments!"
The case has brought back into focus the debate over the ethics of "family influencers," who are often accused of exploiting children for content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, raising concerns about their safety, privacy, and well-being.
