A video of a woman appearing in a 10th-floor window of a building has gone viral online. Her boyfriend threw her out after his wife unexpectedly returned home.

Meanwhile, a shirtless man speaks to the woman through the window and then disappears. Holding her phone, she begins the perilous descent to the floor below. She appears to slide down a water pipe to a neighbor's window, who she knocks on for help.
According to local reports, a man who was cheating on his wife was terrified when she returned home early. As a result, he was forced to take his girlfriend out onto the balcony so she wouldn't find him.
But these images have spread rapidly on Chinese social media, attracting great interest and causing feverish speculation.
Online commentators have described the pair as "socially dead" after the video was widely shared. They expect the man and his girlfriend to face major embarrassment.
Others warned that climbing outside a tall building posed a great risk and could have easily led to tragedy, especially given the narrow thresholds and lack of protective barriers.
Her horrific escape follows a series of brutal attacks on lovers by Chinese women. A woman accused of sleeping with a married man was dragged through the streets by her hair in the northern city of Datong.
