After building an uncontested system of power for 13 years, Edi Rama is facing a civic revolt that demands not only a change of government, but the overthrow of the political model he established...

Prime Minister Edi Rama has openly positioned himself against the anti-political system and anti-autocratic and mafia-like power movement, dubbed the "Flamingo Revolution", with behind-the-scenes plans to usurp and denigrate the protesters, while his political partner Sali Berisha, who presents himself as a supporter of the movement, also acts on his side.

Sali Berisha, 82, with "non grata" status from the US and the UK, has nothing more to lose. He has lost the trust of a large part of Albanians and internationals, while power has become an almost unattainable objective for him, even though he continues to call it "the last mile."

Meanwhile, Edi Rama is gripped by the panic of losing power, which he has held for 13 years with an iron fist, treating the government, parliament, justice, administration, police, SHISH and national assets as instruments for preserving, strengthening and inviolability of his rule.

But this rule has been confronted with a massive protest, just days after Rama experienced the height of political complacency in Brussels, amidst ceremonies, photographs, hugs and the usual personal spectacle.

While the "Flamingo Revolution" continues and expands in the squares and streets of Tirana, but also in the diaspora, the "raven" Edi Rama is circling against it, with deception, trickery, slander, pressure and denigration on social networks, as well as in daily meetings with Socialist Party militants.

With his trust depleted, he continues to speak on behalf of hundreds of thousands of voters, while attempting to mock the protesters and especially denigrate the young women who have become symbols of the protest.

Wearing t-shirts bearing the image of a flamingo, the protesters have turned into a symbolic opposition to power, while the "raven" Rama continues to make "croak-croak-croak", in the hope that it will scare them and quell the revolt that has arisen against him.

According to a biblical legend, the raven was once a dove, but due to the sins it committed among its people, it was transformed into a black bird, condemned to remain forever a symbol of bad omens and misfortune.

For many Albanians, Edi Rama was also a "dove" in 2013, when he gained the trust of over a million voters and was handed the leadership of the country, after power was taken away from the "raven" Sali Berisha for his oppression and abuses.

But during these 13 years, according to his critics, Rama has repeated the same mistakes.

He has established a system of personal and family power, based on clientelistic, oligarchic, and mafia networks, which have functioned as a state within a state.

A system that, according to its opponents, has exploited public assets and state funds for narrow political and economic interests.

And it is precisely against this system that the "Flamingo Revolution" has risen today, attempting to turn civic anger into an organized political movement against the current government./ Pamphlet
