Digitalb has dedicated a documentary to Albania's qualification for the finals of the European Championship "Germany 2024" entitled "Road to Euro 2024". The documentary made by SuperSport journalist Elvis Rexha brings to all viewers the emotions of the qualifying edition, including the main protagonists such as the President of the AFF, Armand Duka, the coach of the Albanian National Team, Silvinjo and several red and black footballers who have made an extraordinary contribution in qualifying for the European Championship "Germany 2024".
The documentary starts with President Duka, who shows the first contacts with coach Silvinho and the positive aspects of the Brazilian, which impressed him in the meeting in Milan.
" We met several coaches. My first meeting with Silvinho was in Milan and from the first day he left me with a positive sensation, very hungry for success. Coaches in a National Team get worn out and a new energy is required. We did this with Silvinho. We have found not only a young coach, but also with new energy " - said President Duka.
The head of the Albanian football government admitted that the beginning was difficult for Silvinjo, who did not have the opportunity to test the footballers in friendlies, but started directly in Poland in the first qualifying challenge.
" It was a kind of handicap to start his work, without a friendly match, but he made up for it. Together with his staff, they did an intensive virtual work, overcoming this difficulty. I set them targets very early on. If you don't set goals and you don't even believe in them, then the people who cooperate with you don't believe in them either ", - emphasized President Duka, who also talks about the moment of reaching the goal and about the opponents in the finals of "Euro 2024".
" With the draw against Moldova, we achieved the objective. They were not an easy opponent. We needed qualification and we got it. It took a win against the Faroe Islands to celebrate more, but at the end of the day footballers are human beings and no one could stop them from celebrating. Complacent, they considered the match easy. It is not easy to motivate them in a match when points are not needed. The draw for me is beautiful, they are strong, since they have won. I like it because we will be playing against big names with the aim of passing the group. We will not go for account, but to do the best " - said President Duka.
The coach of the National Team, Silvinjo, revealed the first meeting with the President of the AFL and the fact that his answer to take the leadership of the Red and Black National Team was immediately "Yes".
" I went to dinner with the President in Milan. First the communication in Italian was very good. Everything was new, a sports complex to be inaugurated. Football players are good. It was an undisputed "Yes". It was important work from January to February to get to the first game, very important in March. Working in a national team is different, there is less time. There is a lot of work with the videos, a lot of work in the office to then implement in the field. Then, the first day we were all together was easier. The first contact with the footballers was very good ," said coach Silvinjo first.
Further, speaking about the journey to qualification, Silvinjo emphasized that it was not easy, but deserved.
" It is not easy to add objectives. A good representation pleases, a good representation brings us closer to a positive result. From playing well to getting results, it takes a lot of effort, a lot of dedication and a lot of work. We must dream. Moldova is not an easy opponent. They were in the race until the last match to qualify for the first time in a European Championship. We made a good appearance and we deserved 100% qualification "- stated Silvinjo.
Part of the documentary "Road to EURO 2024" were also some footballers who have made an extraordinary contribution in the qualifying matches. Jasir Asani, who came to the National Team for the first time in the era of coach Silvinjo, recounts the emotions of the first match, the one against Poland in Warsaw.
" It was a great emotion, since I was coming to the National Team for the first time and I haven't slept at all for two days. Even when we went to the warm-up I had a lot of difficulties, as it was a very big emotion. We were all satisfied as we had played a very good match. But at the same time we were upset, as we didn't deserve to lose " - confesses Asani about the Polish transfer to Warsaw.
Asan's first goal in the red and black jersey would come in June against Moldova.
" It was even more difficult for Moldova. The whole stadium was cheering us on and I couldn't warm up because my legs were shaking with excitement. The first 20-25 minutes I was in the air. I will never forget that goal, because thanks to it we took the road to European qualification " - said Jasir Asani.
Kristjan Asllani shows the confidence that the boys of the National Team had from the moment when the lot was drawn and they were facing teams like the Czech Republic or Poland.
" From the moment the draw was made, we knew we could pass. It was a strong group, but with hard work we have reached our dream. I have played all the matches and with our fans it is very nice but also a responsibility. There is no secret about the goal scored against the Faroe Islands, when Nedim passed the ball to me, I was thinking about shooting it and the goal came "- said Kristjan Asllani.
Nedim Bajrami rrëfen marrëdhënien me trajnerin Silvinjo por edhe momentin e golit vendimtar në Çeki.
“Ditën e parë që erdhi trajneri Silvinjo na dha besim për Europianin. E pa që kishim një grup jo shumë të fortë por as të lehtë, na ndihmoi të gjenim ekuilibrin. Para ndeshjes me Çekinë fola me babin dhe më dërgoi një foto që ishte në stadium. Pas golit e dija ku ishte dhe shkova aty” – tha Nedim Bajrami.
Kapiteni Berat Gjimshiti foli për harmoninë e grupit dhe punën e mirë të bërë nga stafi teknik.
“Do më mbetet gjithë jetën ai moment, pasi ishte edhe i bukur dhe i trishtë për mua. Besoj që më ka dhënë besim për të forcuar karakterin tim. Ja ku jam prapë dhe historia përsëritet. Erdhi staf i ri, lotjarë të rinj që nuk i njihja. Fryma ka qenë shumë pozitive, ndryshim i madh dhe kjo u pa në fushë. Stafi i dha besim lojtarëve. Grupi është shumë familjar, vallëzojnë bashkë dhe kjo është shumë e rëndësishme”- tha Berat Gjimshiti.
Pjesë e dokumentarit ishin edhe Sokol Cikalleshi, Etrit Berisha, Ernest Muçi, Ylber Ramadani, Elseid Hysaj dhe Taulant Seferi që treguan emocionet e edicionit kualifikues.
Sokol Cikalleshi: “Në vitin 2016 kishte lojtarë me karakter dhe personalitet, fokusi ishte tek disiplina taktike. Ishim për herë të parë dhe ishim një ekip që hodhi hapat e parë për një sukses të mëtejshëm. Ky ekip bën futboll më ofensiv, ku nuk kanë munguar golat e bukur”.
Etrit Berisha: “Në Kombëtare ka pak kohë për t’u përgatitur. Silvinjo nuk na dha detyra të ekzagjeruara, por na dha qetësi. Jemi munduar të ndihmojmë trajnerin. Në ndeshjen e parë me Poloninë më ndali trajneri dhe më tregoi që do ta nisja nga stoli. Ndoshta përgjigja ime e surprizoi pak pasi isha i përqendruar tek ecuria e ekipit jo e Berishës. Pas ndeshjes më përgëzoi. Këto fjalë më bënë të ndihem mirë dhe ishte edhe një mesazh për djemtë pasi asnjë nuk është i pazëvendësueshëm por të gjithë jemi të rëndësishëm”.
Ernest Muçi: “E rëndësishme që realizuam ëndrrën e çdo shqiptari, jam i lumtur që u kualifikuam pasi objektivi i skuadrës është më i rëndësishëm se ai individual. Shumica e golave në këto kualifikuese kanë qenë me kulitet të lartë, kemi ekip të tillë. Shpresoj ta vazhdojmë edhe në Europian. Ishte goli im i parë me Kombëtaren, ëndërr e bërë realitet, aksioni dhe goli shumë të bukur”.
Ylber Ramadani: “Nuk jam dorëzuar asnjëherë. Gjatë kualifikueseve do të doja të shënoja një gol dhe të festoja duke puthur fanellën. Jemi bërë si familje tani, mezi presim që të vijmë në grumbullim, për të bërë shaka dhe të qeshim me njëri-tjetrin. Kjo na bën të ndihemi shumë mirë dhe krenarë”.
Elseid Hysaj: "We are all together, this is how we have been since Silvinho's first day, this was his change, as he made us understand that we should trust each other. We have shown that we know how to play football with the ball and not with long balls like we used to. It may be the first time that we have been satisfied on the field with the matches we have played".
Taulant Seferi: "With the arrival of Silvinho, he has brought a new spirit to the team with a new module, recognizing all the qualities. It has made us a united group. We were one, our motto is WE ARE ONE. This spirit has led us to success. I will never forget the match against the Czech Republic, as my two goals will remain in my heart. We have made Albanians everywhere proud".
