The Orange actor, Akil Varfi, has confessed in "S'e Luan Topi" some of the most difficult years in his life, which he recalled with tears in his eyes. He said that it was his impulse for the family to emigrate to Germany, but there they faced a bitter reality.
"I was introduced to piano and as I grew up, the need was increasing, in the conditions we were in, it was becoming more difficult. I wasn't helping my family as much as I should have and I didn't want to go back to that state of economic hardship. I borrowed money and at the age of 16 I ran away for three days. In three days we also made passports for my family and left. We ended up in a camp in Germany, the conditions were terrible, I even stole bread in the camp.
It was very difficult. We had a good ration there per day, but it was one. I had a shoulder bag and there were counters where they got bread, I would go to one to get the bread and I would go to the other to get as much bread as possible. As soon as I saw them leaving, I would go and get the bread and put it in my bag. I would say where the hell did I bring my family. I didn't sleep, I was scared. I felt very guilty, I had my sisters, mom and dad there.
They believed in me and still believe in me today. This lasted for a month and then our lives changed. I left for Germany again, only at the age of 21. I spent three months behind bars. The police caught me because I had not returned to Albania within three months, they kept me there for the same number of months.
"The difficulty was only the first four days, because they isolated me inside a dark room with a very small window. For four days my dad didn't know if I was alive or not. Dad was looking for me, my brain was stuck there. Then I find an address, I look for them, and I write to dad on Facebook," said Akili.
