The New York Times writes in an article that the third wife of the former US president is preparing to publish her memoirs, silencing all those who have repeatedly accused her of posing nude during her career as models.
On the X platform, Melania was quick to defend the nude model's work by uploading a video, just 49 days before the US election. The former First Lady called her previous work a "celebration of the human presence."
The video is one of a series of promotions for her memoir and seems to reflect her strong beliefs. Melania, in the video she posted on social networks that lasts only 45 seconds, hastened to blame the "media" for giving great dimensions to her naked past.
In the video, 54-year-old Melania Trump spoke in detail about the issue or whatever led to her leaving the White House in January 2021. "Can't we appreciate the beauty of the human body?" says Trump's wife among others.
In the video, Melania questions the critical comments she has received about her past nudity, as images from classical paintings and sculptures appear on the screen.
"We need to honor our bodies and embrace the time-honored tradition of using art as a powerful means of self-expression," the 54-year-old mother of Barron, the son she has with Donald Trump, is heard saying.
Her endorsement of nude modeling, with its broader appeal for artistic expression, was part of a series of promotions for her memoir, which is due for release in October.
However, what stands out is that during the 2016 election campaign, with her husband running for the Republican presidential nomination, the media didn't even touch on her nude modeling past, as the New York Times writes.
