The story takes place in a prison in Argentina during the 1980s, during the military dictatorship. The main character, Luis Molina (played by Tonatiuh Elizarraraz), is a gay hairdresser serving an eight-year sentence for indecent behavior.
To cope with the daily horror of prison, Molina finds refuge in the world of imagination, creating movies in his mind, where the main character is Ingrid Luna (played by Jennifer Lopez) – a movie star, but also the mysterious figure known as "Spider Woman", who kills her victims with a kiss.
Molina's life changes when a new prisoner is brought into his cell – Valentin Arregui Paz (played by Diego Luna), a Marxist with strong political convictions. Between them, an unusual and deeply human relationship is born, which transforms both of them in unexpected ways.
This role is expected to be one of the strongest in Jennifer Lopez's cinematic career, with many critics already predicting a well-deserved Oscar nomination.
