British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that security and the economy remain the main challenges in this new era.
Speaking at the European Political Community Summit in Tirana, Starmer said that Putin is not serious about peace talks. He stressed that the latter will pay the price if his country does not sit at the negotiating table.
The focus of this Summit held in Tirana is on Security, Ukraine, and cooperation with allies. He stated that the most urgent challenge is achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
"It is a very important meeting because it is a crucial moment. We all say that we are in a new era, but it is characterized by volatility and instability. The opportunity for all European leaders to come together to face challenges. It is very important that we are here today .
"Meanwhile, we have been working for this alliance throughout Europe. I am pleased that I am the first British Prime Minister to come here and that we are working on this Summit. Eddie, it is an honor to work with you. And we already have many challenges, immigration, and security. Meanwhile, we will also have the Summit in London and the challenge that we will talk about here is a just and sustainable peace," he said.
