Today was the second day of the EU-Western Balkans meeting in Skopje on the Growth Plan.
After the meeting ended, the leaders who participated in this summit took a family photo, as is customary.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has positioned himself alongside the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristjan Mickoski, and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
At the start of the EU - Western Balkans Growth Plan meeting, Rama spoke about Albania's EU membership process.
He expressed optimism, saying that "we are very proud, because we have practically fulfilled all the points for implementation so far and we continue with the other points according to the calendar."
"Today we are here for another stop on the common path, related to the implementation of the New Growth Plan, a plan that is progressing well and is bringing us closer to connecting more with the European Union.
We have never been closer to realizing a centuries-old aspiration, I would say, and on the other hand, I am glad that there is a general positive atmosphere in this regard. We are very close.
We have never been closer, we are very close and I strongly believe that we will fulfill all our obligations, as we have foreseen the deadlines with the European Commission, and the joint plan will be fully implemented.
"The Growth Plan is very clear: we have to deliver results, they on the other hand as well. We are doing our part, they are doing theirs. We have an additional tool, which has to do with what has been called gradual integration and is being implemented. For Albania, in particular, it is going very, very well," said Rama.
