Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the SP Assembly in unit no. 3 in Tirana, from where he did not hesitate to criticize the opposition, but also to promise food cards for families receiving economic assistance.
In the context of what the socialists consider as the re-energizing of the SP, for several weeks now, in the SP branches, especially in Tirana, there have been Assemblies meetings, which, beyond the internal elections in this party, seem to be an 'engine start' for the local election campaign to be held in the spring of 2027.
From the Assembly of Unit 3, the Prime Minister, who is also the leader of the Socialist Party, said that while the Socialists are in meetings and are renewing their structures, the opposition is either at home or in cafes. He then stated that no one forgives success, while mocking the DP for its complaints against the patronageists.
"Where are those who complain about patronage now? Not asleep because Luli is not there, so where are they? Not in meetings, they should be either in their homes or in cafes. And this happens every day, not just today. While we are in meetings, reenergizing our structures, they are not in any meetings," said Rama.
Regarding integration, Rama said that we have gained respect and trust. "We must use this time that we have now, while they have the door open. The moment Albania becomes a member of the EU, you are a local and the country is all of Europe. It happens that Albania receives a democratic assurance as it becomes a country that, despite what people say, insists a lot on justice. We must be aware that it has come to our hands to make history," he said.
Regarding the needy, the Prime Minister announced the planning of a card, with which these families will buy food. According to him, they will use the card to buy food, according to the list that will be determined, to avoid abuses.
"Now we begin the systematic increase in pensions, but it's not something we didn't want to do, but we couldn't do it. We don't have the opportunity to do it today, we should grow the economy, and then increase pensions."
In a country where corruption increases, distribution opportunities do not increase, revenues from the State Budget do not increase, salaries and pensions do not increase, as we increase them.
