The debate on the agricultural land law in the Assembly was accompanied by strong retorts between the leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, and the deputy of the Mundësia Party, Erald Kapri. The two exchanged accusations about issues of ownership, strategic investments and political positions.
Balla rejected Kapri's accusations, accusing him of false statements and political attacks.
"Paid liar, you will be remembered as another MP's bag keeper. Shut your mouth. You came, made a mistake and were caught red-handed," declared Balla.
Further, the head of the SP parliamentary group defended the legal package for agricultural land, arguing that the changes are related to the European integration process.
"If you say that this law was made to order, it's because we have also corrupted the EU. These laws are part of an important package for approximation with European standards," Balla said.
He continued the accusations against the opposition regarding property issues in Vlora, also mentioning the name of Agron Shehaj.
In response, Erald Kapri accused Balla of using family members for political pressure and said that the majority is avoiding debates about the real problems of the owners.
"We have never mentioned family members. Taulant Balla did it, because he is blackmailing me by mentioning my family. He uses everything to scare someone into thinking otherwise," said Kapri.
The MP from the Opportunity Party further challenged Balla on the issue of properties in Vlora, also mentioning the strategic investment of Turkish actor Burak Özçivi.
"You didn't have the courage to talk about 'Osman' who took land in Vlora and about the families who are demanding their property rights. You have us in front of you and you will have us in front of you. You will see who will leave politics first," declared Kapri.
The debate continued in harsh tones, as the clash between the two deputies focused on the agricultural land law, property issues in Vlora, and accusations of connections between political decision-making and private interests.
Sali Berisha has signed the master plan for the development of Zvërnec, said Taulant Balla while responding to Erald Kapri regarding the agricultural land law. The head of the SP group is awaiting the return of the DP leader to parliament to publish the document that "will make all of Albania laugh."
"I'm waiting for Saliu, I can't wait for him to come because I have a document that this Saliu will make all of Albania laugh at, not for 30, but for all the next years. I have a document that Saliu has signed with his own hand for the development of the entire Zvërnec area, the master plan," said Balla.
