Boçi: Rama used a mother's pain for political attack
Luciano Boci

Democratic Party MP, Luciano Boçi, has reacted after Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements at the Socialist Party parliamentary group meeting, where the latter commented on the case of the mother of an autistic child, who was affected by tear gas during the protest near Parliament.

According to Boçi, the head of government used hate speech towards protesting citizens and, instead of showing solidarity with the mother and her child, turned them into the object of political conflict.

" The language of hate, the criminal language and the gestures of contempt that a prime minister abuses towards his citizens, who are under barbaric attack by his political police, is unprecedented. In this speech, Rama does not defend the mother and the autistic child. On the contrary, he distorts their suffering, lynches and terrorizes them once again, turning them into cannonballs to throw at the protesters who happened to be nearby. This time not with gas but with bombs of twisted words loaded with curses, accusations and untruths ," writes Boçi.

The Democratic MP further states that the Prime Minister's statements constitute another reason for the continuation of protests against the government.

" In this man, every human sentiment has already died, because there is no question of logic. The reasons to remain in protest multiply many times over after this theatrical masquerade as a monument to the shame and irresponsibility of a man who walks like a zombie under the shadow of his power, already crumbling ," Boçi concludes his reaction.
