After introducing the Minister of Health, Evis Sala, Prime Minister Edi Rama also introduced the new Minister Besfort Lamallari at the head of the Ministry of Justice.
Besfort Lamallari replaces Ulsi Manjë. Rama praised his performance, stating that he has shown dedication in every task entrusted to him.
"I hope that with the support of the team of this ministry, Besfort will succeed in carrying forward a work started several years ago and continued by the previous minister Ulsi Manja. In the conditions when we have undertaken an epochal transformation, the role of the Ministry of Justice has changed and the challenges of the Ministry of Justice have been resized, but this does not mean that the importance of the Ministry of Justice has diminished", said Rama.
The Prime Minister also stated that the essence of the mission in relation to justice should not be lost sight of, to guarantee the independence of the judicial system.
"We are in a position to guarantee and consolidate it at this stage, insisting on keeping our hands off the decision-making of prosecutors and judges. We have not entered into any case and for any case into the content of a matter that has been taken justice and we do not want to do so and we will not do so either today or tomorrow. Even more so in cases where justice has not fully delivered its word," said Rama.
