New wiretaps have been discovered from the file of the Rraja group, who are accused of drug trafficking within the framework of a structured criminal group.
Among those arrested is Rexhep Rraja, the son of former socialist MP Rrahman Rraja.
SPAK accuses the group from Fushe Kruja of three episodes, one of which is participation in the trafficking of 475 kg of cocaine from Ecuador to the Netherlands.
Key evidence is the Sky Ecc intercepts where the group organizes the transfer of this cargo.
The cargo was intercepted on November 23, 2020, at the port of Vlissingen. The cocaine was hidden in a shipment of bananas marked "Yellow Pacific" and being transported on the ship "Autumn Stream". According to the Customs Service, quoted by the media at the time, the drugs had a street value of 23 million euros.
Among other things, SPAK has SKY ECC wiretaps of Ervis Shuli with Përparim Rrajë, Rexhepi's cousin, in November 2020, where Shuli explains about an argument he had with a mutual friend of theirs from Fushë Kruja, who had not made the payment he had ordered for 10 kilograms, in the 475 kilogram load of narcotics seized at the Port of Vlissingen. In the conversation, their friend (still unidentified by SPAK) had communicated to Shuli that he had met Përparim Rrajë and the deputy's son. During the conversations, Shuli also sends him photos of the drug load.
