Protests against planned developments in the Zvërnec area continued this Monday in front of the Prime Minister's Office building in Tirana.
Dozens of young people have gathered on the "Martyrs of the Nation" boulevard, where they have expressed their opposition to the project that has sparked public debate. Some of the protesters have climbed the steps of the Prime Minister's Office, while demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The police immediately intervened to remove them.

During the rally, calls and slogans against the government were heard, while at one point the participants even articulated the appeal: "No provocations!" , demanding that the protest be held peacefully.

The protesters say they oppose the planned interventions in the Zvërnec area, which they consider an asset with special natural and cultural values.
The rally is taking place under the presence of police forces, and so far no incidents have been reported. Organizers have warned that public reactions will continue in the coming days.
