Following the clashes recorded during the protest in front of the Parliament, activist Luçiana Kokaj stated that she was left without medical assistance even though she needed treatment.

Kokaj said that after using the spray fired by the police, he felt severe burns on his body and requested help from an ambulance.

"I'm in front of Parliament. The police pepper-sprayed us. The ambulance only took the officers and they took me out of the ambulance and didn't even give me first aid. Meanwhile, my skin is burning. I need to get medical help because I can't stand it anymore," she told "News 24".

The activist also stated that, after the police intervened, she and other people took refuge in a bar near the Parliament, where they remained isolated.

"They brought us here to the cafe, closed the cafe door and left us alone," she adds.

The State Police and the emergency services have not reacted publicly regarding the activist's statements and the situation on the ground.
