"There are concerns about interference", Karamuço: Over 30

Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke about the important event expected to take place on Thursday, when the candidates for the new head of SPAK will present their platforms and then the High Prosecutorial Council will vote for the new leader.

Karamuço announced that around 30 international representatives have requested participation to closely monitor the process.

According to Karamuço, this increased international attention is related to long-standing concerns about the possibility of external interference or pressure on the process.

He stressed that, although not all members of the KLP may be part of these concerns, the presence of foreign diplomats aims to guarantee the integrity of the vote at a delicate moment, where the pressure, according to him, comes from some low-ranking politicians with problems in SPAK, some businessmen affected by investigations, as well as the tentacles of organized crime.

" Tomorrow, over 30 diplomats will be at the KLP who have expressed interest in following it closely, not on TV, but up close; perhaps not in the same hall, but they will be present in the KLP building to closely observe the process, from the presentation of the candidates' platforms to the moment of voting. Of course, their presence is a kind of push for the KLP members themselves, to follow those rules and their internal convictions, to not compromise on elements that could create a problem that calls the process into question. Not to blow it up, because that would be a very big and unforgivable thing, but we are talking about a regular, transparent and guaranteed process through a vote that must be from their internal will, not influences from third parties ," Karamuço said on "Air Albania".
