Elbasan has dropped two important points in the race for the top spot, after being held to a 1-1 draw at home against Bylis, in the match valid for the 26th week of the Abyssnet Superiore. Meanwhile, Partizani has won its fourth consecutive victory, defeating Egnatia 2-0 at the “Arena e Demave”.
The match, held at the Elbasan Arena, was characterized by a balanced first half, which ended goalless. Both teams created few clear scoring chances, shifting the decision-making to the second half.
Bylisi took the lead first in the 60th minute. Stoilov was accurate from the penalty spot, after a foul awarded inside the area in favor of the guests.
Elbasan reacted in the final minutes of the match. In the 87th minute, Loukili shot towards the goal and, after a deflection, the ball ended up in the net for the 1-1 equalizer.
After this result, Elbasan holds second place with 46 points, while Bylis ranks eighth with 24 points.
In the next match of the week, Partizan confirmed their good form by securing their fourth consecutive victory. The Reds settled the challenge in the first half, thanks to two quick goals.
Valentino Murataj opened the scoring in the 8th minute, while Sidibe doubled the score in the 14th minute, giving Partizan a 2-0 advantage in the first half of the game.
In the second half, Egnatia was left with one player less after Albano Aleksi was sent off for a kick to Sembene. According to reports from the field, upon leaving, the midfielder made a gesture considered unsportsmanlike towards the home fans.
The match ended with a score of 2-0. Egnatia remains in third place with 46 points, while Partizan climbs to 39 points, ranking fifth, with equal points with Dinamo, which is positioned one place higher.
