"I was amazed by the Albanian fans in Europe", Paolo Tramexani: Broja

The former assistant of Xhani De Biazi, Paolo Tramexani, at the time when he was leading the Albanian National Team, gave an interview to "Tribalfootball", where, among other things, he talked about the appearance of the Reds and Blacks in the European Championship in Germany. The coach who currently leads Istra in Croatia, says that Arbër Hoxha and Armando Broja are suitable for Serie A.

Can Albania be proud of its European appearance?

The team's performances were very good, all players gave 100%, and I'm sure they made all Albanian fans and Albanians around the world proud. The team played good football with great courage against three very strong teams. I think that the Albanian national team came out of this experience even stronger and with more courage and confidence in its abilities. I was amazed by the fans and the atmosphere they created not only in the stadiums but also on the streets. It was fantastic. Despite the fact that I knew them very well and the Albanian fans were always there, this time it was something really special.

Who caught your eye from Silvinho's team?

There were various Albanian players who played well and caught the eye of analysts and fans, starting with Armando Broja and Arbër Hoxha, the forward of Dinamo Zagreb. I think these players are ready and I can see them fitting in very well in Serie A.

There has been a lot of criticism since Italy's early exit from the European Championship, how do you rate the performance of the "Axurres"?

I think Luciano tried to work on making all the players feel part of the team. He gave everyone a chance. Regarding the results and performances in the European, I think that each of the players and the staff has the responsibility for not performing, as we should have done. My opinion is that the Italian national team that participated in the tournament was not as competitive as the other big national teams. We don't have the big names or star players that we had in the past, both in terms of quality and character. In the role of leader, I think these are the things that our national team lacked.

How do you comment on the calls for Spaleti to be fired?

I have heard the debate about Spaleti and I do not at all agree with the comments that he should leave after the European appearances. For me, he is a great coach and he has shown that everywhere. On the other hand, obviously working as a club manager and a national team manager is completely different and I think he just needs time and I'm sure he will do a great job as our national team manager.

What about as a high level coach? Did anything stand out tactically during the European Championship?

The most interesting things that I noticed as a coach in this tournament were, firstly, the different ways of interpretation of the game by the teams. Of course, Spain play total football, they play very well and I like how they go straight to the attack, how they press to win the ball, their effectiveness on the counter-attack and the creation of dangerous chances. I also really liked Austria, they played a similar style of football to Atalanta. I liked the way they defended themselves, how they kept their balance and how they always had a clear philosophy in their heads.
