It has been 20 days since the opening of the market, but at Barcelona there have been no new developments regarding any transfers.
No acquisitions have been made, this is because the Blaugrana have not yet returned to the 1:1 rule of La Liga, while there have been only three departures, including Marc Guiu (Chelsea), Sergino Dest (PSV) and Marcos Alonso (expiration of contract).
The 1:1 rule means that most players will be able to sign up and the savings generated in wages and the money they earn from purchases can be invested in new purchases.
As reported by Catalan newspaper SPORT, deals for Nico Williams and Dani Olmo are on track and there is a belief that at least one of the operations could be completed next week.
At the moment, Williams is the most likely to join them first. An agreement on personal terms is very close, and Barcelona intend to pay his release clause as soon as they get his approval.
In the case of Olmos, the club leaders have sent his agent a proposal regarding the contract and have not yet received a response.
Acquiring any of these players would be fantastic news for Barcelona, even though it is very difficult due to their financial problems.
