The midfield of the Albanian national team is loyal to Vesa Paçarizi: I

He has been playing football for over 10 years and has never thought of retiring from this sport, despite all the obstacles he had to overcome during this period. Vesa Paçarizi, only 19 years old, is one of the most promising midfielders in the National girls' team.

It all started at the age of 9, when Vesa was playing football with her neighborhood friends in Kosovo. Like many other girls of her age, she found the solution by enrolling in a boys' team, while then she became active with Malisheva's team, where she still plays to this day. Although she is still young, she has a lot of experience on her back, as she was loaned to the Hajvalija team, she also experienced the emotions of the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifiers. Today it is also part of the Albanian National Team. The U-19 national team served as a springboard for Vesa, which shows that when she received the invitation from the AFL to represent Albania, she did not believe that her biggest dream was already a reality.

An ardent fan of Lionel Messi, the red-and-black midfielder tells about her journey in the world of football for the column "Albanian Talent" on fshf.org, while she also has a message for all the girls who want to join this sport.

-What made you get involved in the world of football? How old were you when you started playing?

- I have been playing football for about 10 years, since I was 9 years old. At first I played in the neighborhood with my friends and then I decided together with my family to register for the FC Malisheva boys team.

-Tell us a little about your steps in your career Vesa, how did everything go? What happened after you joined this team?

- As I said, FC Malisheva was exactly the team where I started playing fixed football. Before I registered there, of course I played as an amateur, as a passionate girl who loves football. In this team, I really learned what football is, I learned how to play, the rules, the discipline. I trained with the boys' team for two years. I learned how a match is really played after I joined the girls' team of FC Malisheva. To be honest, I have worked very hard, I have sacrificed many things from my teenage years for football, but I am happy because I am so young and I managed to play not only with FC Malisheva, but also with the team of Hajvali, participating also in the qualifiers for the UEFA Champions League. And of course the icing on the cake is the gathering with the National Team.

- How difficult it is for you to deal with football, school, and socializing. How does this divide? Did you 'give up' school for football?

– If I said it was easy, I would be lying. I devoted a lot of time to football, more than school. There was a period when I only thought about football. I still do. However, I have not neglected my studies, I have given up a walk with my family or society, but never from school or football. I find the time to alternate and do both.

- It is not easy for girls to play football, how was it for you? Who has supported you the most? Family? Society? Who has been more skeptical in the family, mom or dad?

- It is very true that it is not easy for girls to play football, but luckily for me I have wonderful parents and many supporters. I have overcome all obstacles thanks to their support. They knew how much I loved football since my childhood and believed that one day I would succeed and become someone in football. Thanks to them, I never thought of retiring from this sport. Today they are proud of me, as I am of them. To my parents who became my friends when I really needed them to be understanding and believe in my dream.

- Do you have any idol, footballer or footballer who motivates you?

- I wouldn't say an idol, but I am an ardent fan of Lionel Messi. He is a role model in football and is my favorite player.

-How much has football influenced you, in every aspect of your life? Did they see you differently or something?

- No, nothing has changed. On the contrary, football has influenced me in a positive way. I have more company, I have a healthy life. Has my company left me? Absolutely not. They were and continue to be very proud of Vesa, their friend who plays football.

- You are part of the Albanian national team. What does it mean to you? What emotions does it give you to play for Albania?

- Proud. In a word, I don't know how else to say that I am very proud to be part of the Albanian National Team and play for the red and black colors. I am happy and for me it is very important to be a part of Albania and to give my contribution to my heart team. I always feel emotions when I receive an invitation to represent the Albanian National Team, whether it is an invitation from the age group or the A team.

- How did you get the invitation to represent Albania? How do you remember your first time at the National Team? What impressed you the most then?

- I played in a friendly match and immediately after that meeting I received an invitation from the national team. To be honest, I didn't believe it. Like everyone else, I have always dreamed of playing for Albania one day. And I believe that this invitation came at my best moment, I was in pretty good physical shape. I played with the U-19 national team, now I am also part of the girls' A team. I want to give everything to my Albania, in every official or friendly match, in every official or routine gathering.

-What message does it give to girls who are told that football is only for boys?

– If we continue to walk with this backward mentality that football is only for boys, then we will never move forward. Football is for everyone. I call on girls to become part of this sport. They will experience emotions that I don't believe they will ever experience in their lives. Live healthy, live in good company. Become a soccer player and serve yourself, your family, society, your club, but above all, Albania.
