Drita failed to maintain their advantage in the final moments and was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Floriana, in the first match of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
The match was characterized by a high tempo and chances at both ends. In the first half, it was the Kosovar team that had more control over the game and created several scoring opportunities, while Jashari came close to scoring, but failed to beat the home goalkeeper.
After the break, Drita increased the pressure and took risks with Manaj and Liridon Balaj, but were unable to break the deadlock in regular time.
When everything seemed to be heading towards an equalizer, Drita scored in the 96th minute. After a quick counterattack, Liridon Balaj sent the ball into the net, giving the Kosovo champions the lead.
However, the celebration lasted only six minutes. In the 102nd minute, Floriana found the equalizer against Drina, sealing the final score at 1-1.
The match was interrupted for a few minutes due to a power outage, but then continued normally until the final whistle.
After this draw, everything remains open for the return match, which will take place in Pristina and will determine the team that will secure qualification for the third round of the Conference League.
